Description:The National Weather Service (NWS) operates a Family of Services (FOS) to make weather information available to the private sector. The FOS, which is in its third year of operation, consists of four medium-speed circuits called the Public Product Service (PPS), the Domestic Data Service (DDS), the International Data Service (IDS), and the Numerical Product Service (NPS). There are now 23 FOS subscribers, eight of which subscribe to more than one of the services.
