Description:The primary cloud atterns observed in satellite imagery which relate to high altitude non-convective turbulence are described. Relative frequencies, prevailing altitudes and intensities of each type are presented. Means of distinguishing turbulent from non-turbulent cloud signatures based on both satellite imagery and upper wind data are also provided.
