Description:

Processing and editing techniques used by the Convection Subprogram Data Center in validating the rawinsonde data collected during the three observation Phases of the 1974 GARP Atlantic Tropical Experiment (GATE) are described. Intercomparison analyses of the various rawinsonde systems are presented, and data problems are identified.
