Description:Processed bathymetry, magnetic, and gravity data, collected between 1961 and 1969 in the North Central Pacific area bounded by longitudes 156°W and 180°W and latitudes 36°N and 48°N are listed in computer printout format. More than 30,000 evaluated data points from Project Pacific SEAMAP surveys are included. These surveys were initiated in 1961 by the Coast and Geodetic Survey and continued after July 1965 by the C&GS under the Environmental Science Services Administration and after October 1970 by the National Ocean Survey of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The listing identifies the vessel, cruise, position and time of each bathymetric measurement, corrected depth, correction applied for sound velocity variation, total magnetic field intensity, magnetic anomaly, observed gravity, free-air gravity anomaly, and gravity meter used.
