"The objective of the CORMS program is to develop and implement a system designed to operate within a 24-hour/7 days a week environment that ensures the accuracy of tide and current observations used for navigation and safety of life and property decisions ... The CORMS can be categorized as a quality assurance and decision support system that combines the use of real-time communications, data analysis, GUI system monitoring, system watch dog and notification capability."
