Description:"Versatile and efficient data processing methods (filter and data extension algorithms, complete with FORTRAN subroutines) are presented. Foremost among the features of the filter is its versatility; it is adaptable to different scale sizes; rectangular windows are possible. Also, it smooths up to the boundaries of a (multidimensional) data set. The function of data extension is to complete or fill in regions of missing data; it is used to interpolate/extrapolate missing values. The extension method is an averaging technique that tends to the sample mean as the distance from the good data increases."
