Description:The NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer (EX), owned and maintained by the NOAA Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO) and operated by the NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration and Research (NOAA Ocean Exploration) and the Global Foundation for Ocean Exploration (GFOE), is NOAA’s only vessel solely dedicated to exploration of the deep ocean. This document outlines a plan for managing data and information recorded, collected, or otherwise generated by EX during its missions in Fiscal Year 2021 (See Appendix A for Details). This plan is intended to support a comprehensive and standardized approach to identifying, acquiring, displaying, archiving, and publishing EX mission data and information.
