Description:This 5-year review indicates that, based on a review of the best available scientific and commercial information, that the southern right whale should be downlisted from endangered to threatened. If feasible within the context of agency resources and priorities, we recommend the agency commence a rulemaking at some point in the future to reclassify the southern right whale from endangered to threatened.
