Description:The Groundfish Analysis Investigation of the Tiburon Laboratory conducts an annual survey of age-0 rockfish (Genus Sebastes). A major long-term goal of these surveys is to estimate the strength of a year class based on their abundance at age 0. This requires that a positive relationship between recruitment to the fishery and age-0 abundance be established. In this report we examine the statistical power for establishing such a relationship.
