Description:The cruise period was 5 to 18 November 2005. The NOAA fisheries research vessel ALBATROSS IV sampled 108 stratified random ecosystem monitoring stations located in the Mid-Atlantic Bight, Southern New England, Georges Bank and Gulf of Maine, plus 3 non-random stations in Southern New England, 4 non-random stations in the Gulf of Maine, and 5 fixed stations in the Gulf of Maine region. The fixed stations were in the Wilkinson, Jordan and Georges basins, in the Northeast Channel and east of Boston Harbor, at the site of a proposed liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal (Figure 1).
