Description:

This study took place on two 10-day cruises in late summer of 1974. Each of the cruises consisted of 2 parts: in the first segment the researchers determined the geographical and bathymetric distribution of Loligo pealei and in second segment they compared the results of using two different types of trawling nets in searching for the squid. While the intent was to focus on loligo pealii, they also culled ilex illecebrosus squid.
