Description:This study in the vicinity of the clambeds in Seabrook Harbor consisted of two main components: 1) a shoreline survey of properties adjacent to Seabrook Harbor, and 2) dilution/dispersion modeling of wastes discharged from vessels in Seabrook Harbor. It was determined that recreational vessels in the harbor are evidently increasing the level of contaminants in the summer, and that in one area near the clambeds apparent shore-originating pollutants were found. The shore area was scheduled to be serviced in 1995-1996 by a new Seabrook Sewage Treatment Plant, which should have solved that problem. The authors advised closing the area near the clambeds to boats during the summer months.
