This assessment is a full update of the 2014 stock assessment. The 2015 assessment was an off-cycle assessment that did not re-run an updated assessment model; instead the projection model was run with updated catch information only to provide estimates of 2016 and 2017 ABC and OFL without reestimating the stock assessment model parameters and biological reference points. The stock is estimated to be 13% above B40% and has been harvested at about half the ABC level the past 3 years.
