Description:"This report is broken into 6 sections, the first of which is this introduction. Section 2 of this report focuses on an overview of ESTOFS including a brief description of ADCIRC, the model grid for this application, the input files, and system interruption and recovery procedures. Section 3 describes the model run scenarios for an as tronomical tide simulation, a hindcast simulation, and a semi-operational forecast simulation. A summary of the NOS skill assessment criteria and the NOS/Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (CO-OPS) observation stations along the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico coasts of United States are summarized in Section 4. Lastly, the performance of the model is examined using the skill assessment criteria in Section 5. Section 6 presents a summary of the ESTOFS skill assessment"--Introduction.
