The United States Weather Bureau last issued a climatology of Santa Barbara in 1962. This paper represents an effort, to update that study and assemble the latest relevant climatological data for the city of Santa Barbara. Within this paper, long-term temperature records are analyzed, precipitation trends are fully discussed, and research into the causes and effects of downslope wind events are outlined.
