Description:The National Weather Service currently issues twice-daily forecasts of thunderstorms and severe local storm probability based on Model Output Statistics. The probability forecasts are given by a weighted linear combination of meteorological predictors derived from NMC's limited-area fine mesh (LFM) model and TDL's three-dimensional trajectory model.
