Description:"The National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) has the role of collecting, managing, and disseminating the great mass of information produced by the scientific observation of interplanetary space and the physical world. Data activities in seismology, gravity, geomagnetism, marine geology and geophysics, geothermics, and solarterrestrial physics are directed by the NESDIS National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC) in Boulder, Colorado.
