"The NODC XBT processing scheme, as outlined in the following pages, will consist of the utilization of the CALHA Hodel 303 A-D incremental digitizer and the data processing and manipulation programs developed by the NODC. Our XBT digitization will basically be the same as that of the Fleet Numerical Weather Central (FNWC) except for the inclusion of the NODC I.D. number, digitization, and ship codes, and the employment of an automated Test and Evaluation program. All 1.'BT processing will be done at the NODC on the IBM 360/40"--Introduction.
