Description:The following is a summary of conclusions presented in this report. All numbers given are estimated total abundance of crabs, plus or minus a percentage which represents an approximate confidence interval of 95%. All estimates were compared to those of the previous year by t-test, and values of t greater than 2 were considered significant. Note that for some groups of crabs, especially blue king crabs, the variance of the data, as indicated by the conhdence interval, is so great that large changes from last year may not be deemed statistically significant. Such changes are considered to be below the ability of the survey to detect.
