Description:The NOAA ship Discoverer conducted a physical oceanographic program in the Caribbean Sea as part of CICAR (Cooperative Investigation of the Caribbean and Adjacent Regions) in July, August, and September 1971. The primary objective of the Discoverer cruise was to investigate the dynamics of the formation of the Yucatan Current. This report describes the measurements taken and the methods applied to correct and analyze the hydrographic station data. It also makes the results of these data available to other researchers who are working on problems in the Caribbean.
