Description:"The NOAA ship Oscar Elton Sette was engaged as support for the Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center (PIFSC), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), NOAA. Leg I operations were focused on obtaining specimens for fatty acid, conducting a stable isotope analysis, and recovering archival environmental monitors. Leg II operations were in support of State of Hawaii and PIFSC surveys of the black coral population"--Type of operation.
