Description:This study is part of a city plan to link together 5 waterfront parks in downtown Detroit. This study addresses the linking of two of the parks, Chene and St. Aubin parks, involving the development of a canal around them. "The purpose of this study is, therefore, to address the Chene/St. Aubin marina/canal issues ... These issues have been grouped into four major categories: a) the technical canal configuration which includes hydraulic and wave action implications; b) potential industrial recreational transportation and utility conflicts; c) the content and feasibility of the proposed seasonal transient boat marina; and d) the cost impacts of recommended physical improvements."--Page 1.3.
