Description:Personnel from the Coral Reef Ecosystem Division (CRED), Pacific Island Fisheries Science Center (PIFSC), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), U.S. Department of Commerce, and partner agencies, including the Division of Aquatic Resources (DAR) of the Hawai`i Department of Land and Natural Resources and the National Geographic Society conducted Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program (RAMP) studies of the coral reef ecosystems in waters surrounding the main Hawaiian Islands (MHI), including the islands of O`ahu, Kaua`i, Ni`ihau, Kaula Rock, Lehua Rock, Moloka`i, Maui, Lāna`i, and Hawai`i. All activities described in this report were covered under Special Activity Permit SAP2009-40"--Type of operation.
