Description:"The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Southeast Fisheries Science Center (SEFSC), Galveston Laboratory initiated research on sea turtles in 1977, starting with experimental head starting (Klima and McVey 1982). The Laboratory later expanded its sea turtle research to include a variety of additional topics. This is an update of NOAA Technical Memorandum NMFS-SEFSC~328 and covers publications and reports on sea turtles, authored or co-authored by NMFS SEFSC Galveston Laboratory personnel from 1979 through 1996. The earlier Technical Memorandum covered 1979 through 1992. This update also provides information concerning how reprints or copies may be obtained, when available. For example, NOAA Technical Memoranda can be obtained from the National Technical Information Service (NTIS), 5285 Port Royal Road, Springfield, VA 22161. The previous two versions of this Technical Memorandum can be obtained from NTIS under Accession Nos. PB91216093/LL and PB94102456JLL. The citations are grouped by topic, for easy reference. Therefore, individual citations may appear more than once"--Introduction.
