Description:The purpose of this emergency action is to temporarily increase 2026 harvest specifications and sector allocations for shortspine thornyhead, canary rockfish, and petrale sole. This emergency action is intended to alleviate the significant direct economic loss that would be caused by the restrictive annual catch limits (ACL)1 for these species, and is anticipated to occur in 2026 based on the fishery constraints experienced from 2025 ACLs.
