Description:

The purpose of this technical memorandum is to describe how vessel monitoring system (VMS) data can be combined with landings data (fish tickets) to produce high resolution data on the location of fishing activity. We use data sources available for West Coast fisheries and focus on the West Coast salmon commercial ocean troll fishery.
