Description:Alewives Alosa pseudoharengus are a culturally, ecologically, and economically important anadromous fish in the northwest Atlantic, yet their movement ecology remains poorly understood. This study was designed to examine mortality events and movement patterns of Alewives, including diel vertical migrations.
