Description:Cortés (2016) applies six methods to calculate intrinsic rate of population growth (rmax) for 65 different shark species under seven different survivorship functions. Here, I replicate his approach using updated reproductive parameters for smalltail shark (Carcharhinus porosus), which is petitioned for listing under the Endangered Species Act.
