Description:

In this pilot project, we partnered with the NASA Ames Research Center to evaluate whether a longrange uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) could feasibly replace crewed aircraft for aerial surveys of harbor seals and endangered Steller sea lions in the western Aleutian Islands, where stocks of both species have declined in the past and failed to recover.
