Description:

In 2022 the Lower Granite Dam adult trap began operations as scheduled on Wednesday, 2 March. We operated the trap 5 d/week from 2 March to 17 August. Sampling started at a respective daily and overall trapping rates of 25 and 18%. Due to higher predicted fish returns to Lower Granite, at the end of the day on 8 May the daily and overall trapping rate was adjusted down to 20 and 14%, respectively. The trap operated from 18 August to 29 August at a 60% trapping rate at the planned 24 hour, 7 d/week trapping schedule. We operated the trap at an 18% trapping rate from 30 August to close of trap on 15 November without interruption.
