An Acoustic Vessel-of-Opportunity (AVO) index for midwater walleye pollock (Gadus chalcogrammus) in the eastern Bering Sea has been estimated annually since 2006 using backscatter information collected during the annual Alaska Fisheries Science Center bottom trawl (BT) summer survey.
