The first phase of the workshop consisted of online training sessions, while the second phase included an in-person student outreach half-day, in-person oral and poster presentations, and panel discussions. Workshop participants included students, federal agency scientists and managers, contractors, researchers from academia, and collaborators and partners from other external agencies and organizations. The theme for PSAW III was Incorporating Novel Data, New Analytical Approaches, and Increasing Anthropogenic Impacts in Protected Species Assessments, and the workshop was hosted by the Southeast Fisheries Science Center (SEFSC).
