Description:The Primitive Equation (PE) model produces forecasts for regularly spaced grid points while the FOUS 1/2 outputs these same forecasts interpolated to cities, located between grid points. The data are interpolated to each city from four surrounding grid points by a method known as bilinear interpolation. This method simply weights the contribution of each grid point by its distance from the city.
