Description:

Since the beginning of the year, the staff at WSFO Philadelphia has participated in PoP forecast competition patterned after the competition conducted at the In-House Forecaster Training Courses at Weather Service Headquarters. Following the daily forecast discussion held at the 4p.m, shift change, all personnel make a PoP forecast (F) for Philadelphia for the next three forecast periods - tonight, tomorrow, and tomorrow night. A forecast is also recorded for the PEAT MOS, FOUS 3, and local objective techniques.
