Description:"K" values were calculated from the Philadelphia daybreak and noontime low-level soundings for the period from May 1 through September 30, 1972. Low-level soundings are not normally taken on weekends and on occassion are not available during the week. Twelve-hour precipitation amounts for the 12 - 00Z period were recorded and compared with the "K" values at the beginning (daybreak) and mid-points (noon) of the period.
