Description:The new NMC Objective Surface Temperature Forecasts have been generally accepted by the forecasters at WSFO Omaha as good. However with the onset of the snow cover over Nebraska, a large bias developed in the NMC maximum temperature forecasts. The effect of this bias is that maximum NMC temperature forecasts usually are too warm when snow cover is present.
