Description:

A pilot study has been completed relating trajectory model predictions of upward net vertical displacement (NVD) of a parcel to precipitation amount. The NVD was determined for the final. 12 hours of a 24-hour forecast trajectory for particles predicted to terminate at 700 mb. over New York City, Washington, D.C., and Williamsport, Pa.
