Description:

Very High Resolution Radiometer (VHRR) pictures from the NOAA-4 polar-orbiting satellites are being transmitted in real-time over the GOES picture distribution system. This case study describes one of many successful applications of VHRR pictures at the Washington, D.C., Weather Service Forecast Office (WSFO).
