Description:The National Weather Service is frequently questioned about its ability to forecast hazardous or significant weather events. This study continues the investigation initially reported in Technical Attachment No. 75-1-6, issued on January 6, 1975, and deals with the question for one type of event, heavy snow (>6 inches).
