Description:The eyes of station personnel, radar and satellite, were all focused on the flood producing system which moved northeastward over the eastern United States from Georgia to New England between November 5 and 8, 1977. As a result, timely and adequate watches and warnings were issued. This storm system provided the Eastern Region (ER) with a good opportunity to use the Scofield/0liver technique for estimating convective rainfall from satellite photographs.
