Description:The most significant severe weather outbreak in the Eastern Region, in several years, occurred on May 2nd. The northwestern and north central portions of the region were hardest hit. It's difficult to determine how many distinctly separate tornadoes occur in any outbreak; however, we've estimated that there were about 20 associated with this event in the Eastern Region.
