Description:

The underlying basis of MOS guidance has become much more complex in the past several years. This is especially true of the precipitation type (PoPT) guidance. The details of the PoPT guidance may be found in Technical Procedures Bulletin No. 319. The rules for selecting the categorical precipitation type forecast are repeated here because of their importance.
