Description:After forecasting the weather for four years in Montana, the author was under the impression that to have temperatures well below zero one generally needs light winds, clear skies and a snow cover. A review of temperatures 10 below zero or colder (1950-January 1984) for Cleveland in northern Ohio and Columbus and Cincinnati in the south was done to see if the above parameters for "cold" temperatures held true in Ohio.
