Description:

The 2024 Bottomfish Fishery-Independent Survey in Hawaiʻi (BFISH) represents the ninth consecutive year of standardized, fishery-independent data collection for the Main Hawaiian Islands Deep 7 bottomfish complex. The 2024 survey was conducted under a reduced sampling footprint of 215 primary sampling units (PSUs), compared to the typical 500, due to funding constraints.
