Description:This Technical Attachment is the substance of a memo between James Hoke, Development Division and James Howcroft, Automation Division, NMC. The correct method of interpolating discontinuous variables, such as precipitation, has been a vexing problem since the early days of NWP. WSFOs, at the edge of the 0.01 inch isohyet, should check the consistency of the alphanumeric and graphic products.
