Description:

Nested grid model (NGM) forecasts are available to forecasters primarily in chart form and secondarily as a FOUS message at selected locations. No model ouput statistics (MOS) is available from the NGM and won't be in the near future. A technique is presented for using NGM low level temperature forecasts to determine precipitation type.
