Description:The Corps proposes to permit pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act the repair of a slip-out along Higgins Canyon Road, and restore approximately 110 linear feet of failed road bed and 185 linear feet of bank of Mills Creek, and enhance approximately 185 linear feet of habitat along the banks of Mills Creek. The County of San Mateo Department of Public Works (DPW) applied for the permit. As described in the BA, the proposed project includes construction of a soldier pile retaining wall, construction of vegetated soil lifts and vegetated boulder revetments. Project construction will take approximately 70 days to complete and is anticipated to occur during summer 2025.
