Description:The probability of a cyclone deepening at least one bergeron in a specified 24-h period somewhere in the area bounded by 30° and 55° North Latitude and by 50° West Longitude and the East Coast of North America can be obtained from data in Table 2 of a paper by Sanders and Auciello recently submitted to W & F. Here this event was compared in the NGM and AVN (global spectral) prognostic charts received on DIFAX at MIT from October 1987 through April 1988. We accept the manual Northern Hemisphere analyses as ground truth.
