Description:From 1200 UTC 24 September to 1200 UTC 25 September 1991, parts of the eastern and southern United States experienced a synoptic-scale heavy rainfall event. This paper examines the development of the event from an isentropic perspective, and will show how isentropic products could have helped to predict the heavy rainfall.
