Description:This document discusses barriers to living shoreline permitting in each Gulf of Mexico (GoM) state as identified by the state leads at the time of this publication. Each state lead has extensive experience with living shorelines in their respective state. This document is meant to aid in the creation of living shorelines guidance by identifying barriers that those seeking a living shoreline general permit (or state equivalent) might encounter, but by also proposing solutions that each state’s lead can pursue in the future.
